No-Trash Triangle Initiative

The No-Trash Triangle Initiative is the organisation we work with and support to help us with the plastic problem/ solution.

They operate sorting and aggregation facilities on Bangka Island and in Manado, employing and training local teams to ensure waste is properly sorted and prepared for further treatment on the mainland.

They implement regular waste collection services across islands around Manado, enabling communities, resorts, schools, and businesses without access to public waste services to manage their waste responsibly. In parallel, they address environmental plastic pollution by intercepting waste that has already leaked into the environment, including plastic collected from beaches and coastlines and waste captured through river barriers in Manado.
